PNH [Parelli Natural Horse.Man.Ship] is a program designed by Pat Parelli to help ordinary people achieve extraordinary results with horses. It teaches the human to think like a horse before thinking like a human. As Pat likes to say, he's "put together a program that's so simple and so easy, even adults can do it!" He says this because children are natural with horses until around the age of 12. Then they start to think like adults. Adults like logical answers and tend to think directly. Children tend to think laterally, meaning they are not so goal oriented, which gets humans into trouble at times with horses.
Pat and his wife, Linda, have put together a program with 10 levels of horsemanship. They have a support group called the Savvy Club, with numerous homestudy educational materials available. The first 3 levels are more for the human's benefit, but they provide a solid foundation for the horse as well.

Level 1 Partnership is about respect and mental collection.
Level 2 Harmony is about impulsion and emotional collection.

Level 3 Refinement is about flexion, finesse and physical collection.
