Willow

Willow was our little Sheltie. She had to put up with frequent rude goats butting her, but didn't mind. She also got used to all the horses, which didn't seem to bother her. She was a very sweet little dog. She passed away in August 2005.

Sophie

Sophie is the newest addition to the family. She is a young Pomeranian.  Her spunky personality has been fun to keep up with, and she fits in nicely with all the black and white horses.

The new mouser and cat-friend, "Doctor Amelia Fluff And Purr, Mouse Executioner": She's got a PhD in Mouse Anatomy.

ALPACAS
April 2011: We have acquired a small herd of alpacas, two female Huacayas and three males, two Huacaya and one Suri. The horses are curious about the new neighbors, and the herd is settling in nicely.

Lila

Lila was the official mouser for the farm. She's very talented at it, and since moving to Washington, she also took up gopher hunting. She's a little black and white pound cat, and was frequently spotted following around whoever happened to be outside at the moment. Lila is no longer with us.

Spanky

Spanky was the resident happy cat. She came with our new Artman-Gibson house, and grew about 10 sizes too big (heart and body). She was very sweet though, with a certain "Garfield look" about her. Spanky passed away in 2009.

Crickett was my goat. She is a 6 year old Nigerian Dwarf. Nigerian Dwarves are sort of like Pygmy goats, but not as fat. Many people are surprised at what kind of stuff we did with our goats; Crickett is an excellent jumper, and bows, lies down and rears upon request. We also worked on the Spanish Walk and Sitting. She and Cocoa now belong to our young neighbors who adore them.

Alora and Crickett Jumping our elaborate jump made of 2 dustpans,

a stick and a flowerpot.

Cocoa was my sister's goat. She is also a Nigerian Dwarf. She is very different from her twin sister, Crickett.  Crickett is calm and laid back, while Cocoa is jumpy and energetic. She is an excellent jumper, and rears, does the capriole, and Spanish Walk upon request.

She and Crickett now belong to our young neighbors who adore them.

Cocoa looks on as Alora does the Spanish Walk.
