The Porcupine Game

The Porcupine game is for teaching horses to follow a feel. There are only 6 things a horse can do: go forward, backward, left, right, up or down.  Some horses can do all 6 at once! But it will help the horse-human partnership if you can direct where the horse goes.

Horses use the Porcupine game all the time in the herd and on humans.  Biting is a form of the Porcupine game, so is kicking.  When a horse doesn't respect your space, and bumps into you, he is playing game #2 with you.
