Lyric is
one of the littlest members of our herd. She stands a mere 34" at the withers, and is not planning on growing much more. We bought her in October 2003 from a
farm about a 10 minute drive from our house. She came home with us on her 4-month birthday in the back of our Explorer.

Lyric is a very calm horse. Not much bothers her. She was imprinted at
birth, and absolutely LOVES people. All of the horses in our herd like
her, but Staunton is her favorite big horse. He protects her if he feels
there's any danger. Elisa has also taken an affinity to her,
employing her maternal instincts on little Lyric. Moon is Lyric's best buddy though.
In August 2004, I took Lyric to the Northeast Washington Fair. We had tons of fun taking walks around the fairgrounds, meeting the visitors, getting spiffed up (braiding, hoof polish, the whole deal) and winning ribbons. That's right, Lyric won
Best of Show in the Miniature category. The ribbon was nearly as big as her!
