Miniature were first bred in Europe and belonged the the nobility as pets.  To be registered with the AMHA, they must be under 34" at the base of the mane to be classified as Class A, and under 38" to be classified as a Class B Miniature.

We have owned many miniature horses in the past few years, and have found them to be great little horses. Moon was our first miniature, with Lyric coming soon after.  We rescued and re-homed 4 more miniature horses, then in April 2005 the rest of Lyric's family came to us (her sire, dam and full brother).  We still have her sire, Joe, and continue to find new ways to have fun with our mini herd of three!
