Staunton 1994 Haflinger Gelding Stubai x Suki
I got Staunton on October 28, 2001. He arrived at the place where I rode after a 6-day trailer ride along with Elisa, our Haflinger Mare. He has been in good spirits ever since though, and doesn't plan on getting grumpy anytime soon.
Staunton is my equine partner. He has a very high play drive, and easily gets bored. He is an extremely curious horse, so even if he is a bit skeptical of something, he will usually investigate it.
Staunton's 8th birthday party was a big success.
He is so much fun, and has the most playful "horse-anality" I have ever seen in a horse. We have been having very positive results with PNH. He loves to play, and he is helping me along my journey to become a horse.woman!
After my dad built a barn, we moved the horses to our house. I got to know Staunton over the winter, mostly brushing him and hanging around him. I had heard about PNH, but I didn't know much about it. When summer rolled around, I wanted to be able to do more with him, so we got the kits and started learning.
In the fall of 2005, Staunton and I went to the NE Washington Fair in Colville WA. We were the only entrants in the FFA showmanship class, and got a red ribbon. I was very proud of him.
