Zaira is Ailish's second filly born on our farm. She's a sweet smaller black and white Gypsy filly who is following in both of her parents' models with an abundant mane and tail. She was born with feathering already sprouted on her legs, much like our colt Caspian.

We've handled her since her first day on the ground so that she is used to human contact, and she enjoys a good scratch whenever she can get one. She's everything we're breeding for in the Gypsy horse, and so was our ambassador along with her full-sister Isabella at the 2008 Ride the West horse expo in Spokane WA, May 16-18. Taken from Midnight Sun Ranch News Page: Spangle Days Parade - Spangle, WA - June 18, 2010 ~ Zaira and Kiah. Michele and Kyanna partook in their first Parade with the horses, a small community celebration through a block of downtown Spangle. The horses were decked out with fresh silk flowers and Kiah even carried candy to throw at children, although that dream wasn't reailzed. See photos below:

Zaira took a break from her education to have her filly, Ziva, but is now back in training for appearances in 2012. Zaira has also been a member of our Expo/Show team at the Gypsy Horse Show at the Oregon State Fair in 2010. She is scheduled to appear with us at the 2012 Show.

Zaira had her first filly in May 2009. Ziva is a wonderful combination of her dam and her sire, our stallion Vimto. She's athletic and level-headed with hair to spare! Zaira was an excellent mom, raising an independent and people-loving filly.
